The Insurance Question

Ascend Physical Therapy is an out-of-network provider. This means that we do not take any form of insurance. We advise that you call your insurance provider and ask about your “out-of-network physical therapy benefits”.

While we do not partner with insurance, we will gladly provide you with the appropriate documents and assistance if you choose to file a claim.

In addition, we accept all FSA and HSA cards so that you can utilize the benefits given to you from your health coverage while still receiving superior care.

What does this mean for you?

Decisions about your care are between you and your doctor. You will never be told “We could but insurance won’t cover it.”

Your appointments will ALWAYS be 100% with your doctor.

Concierge service is at your fingertips. Use our app, text, email, or call when you have questions, concerns, or just want an accountability check-in.

Your physical therapy will have a seamless transition to fitness, whether that is through our remote coaching and membership options, or in collaboration with your preferred fitness coach, or as you “graduate” to independent exercise.

Efficient and effective. Less visits, more treatment per session, better support in between appointments.

What is Direct Access?

In Virginia, you can seek the expertise of a skilled physical therapist without needing a medical referral, streamlining your path to care. This direct access ensures that there are no unnecessary steps between you and your therapist, allowing for quicker and more convenient treatment.

Please note, however, that dry needling services do require a medical referral from your physician. We will assist you in making this process as smooth as possible.

If we have any concerns about your progress or if your symptoms suggest the need for further medical evaluation, we will discuss your options for additional care.
